Biomaterials for drug delivery

On January 13, 2020, the researchers of the MBStox project went to the School 2/3 of Fazendas de Almeirim to present concepts of Biopolymers, Biomaterials and Drug Delivery Systems.
Students and science teachers were able to develop the activity "Biomaterials for drug release" which includes simple studies of the diffusion of a drug according to the properties of the support and the behavior of biomaterials in different organs of the human body.
The students from the four 7th grade classes behaved like real scientists when preparing and performing the experiment, but also when analyzing the results obtained.
